Install the third-and fourth-speed shift rail detent plug, spring and bolt in the left side of the transmission case (Fig. 5, 134K). Place the interlock plug (tapered ends) in the detent bore.

The interlock pin goes in the 3-4 shift rail and prevents the transmission from shifting into two gears at once. Please do not run your toploader without the interlock pin.
